Kidney disease can cause diabetes
Urea plays a role in the two-way link between the two diseases. Urea comes from the breakdown of protein in food. Kidneys normally remove urea from the blood, but poor kidney function can lead to increased levels of urea.
The study involved the analysis of medical records of adults who did not have diabetes. About 9 percent had elevated urea levels, a sign of reduced kidney function. That's the same rate as in the general population, according to the researchers.
People with high urea levels were 23 percent more likely to develop diabetes than those with normal urea levels, the study found. Diabetes is a major risk factor for kidney disease, elevated levels of urea, also raises the risk of diabetes.
When urea builds up in the blood because of kidney dysfunction, increased insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion often result.

Fatty liver can damage other organs
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease NAFL increases the risk of chronic liver diseases such as liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Altered secretion of the fatty liver increases production of glucose, fats, and proteins like hepatokine fetuin-A, which are releases into the bloodstream.
The secreted substances of the fatty liver enter other organs and trigger further reactions. People who had experienced an increased pancreatic fatty degeneration have reduced insulin secretion.
Fatty liver and fatty degeneration of the pancreas triggers increased local immune cell infiltration and inflammation that increase the disease.
However, adipose tissue is not harmful, it can even have protective effects: adipose tissue located around the blood vessels of the kidney has regenerative properties.
The factor that leads to pathological changes is fetuin-A, which is produced by the fatty liver, instead of protecting tissue as before, the adipose tissue brings out inflammatory processes that leads to a restriction of renal function.

How to prevent type 2 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes occurs when pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or the body does not react properly to insulin.
Changing from sedentary lifestyle to active lifestyle and changing from over processed foods to eating plant based diet can prevent type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes prevention is eating more healthy foods, becoming more physically active and losing excess weight.
Nerve, kidney and heart damage are complications developed from suffering from diabetes, these can be prevented by adopting these preventive measures.
Be involved in regular physical activity - regular physical activities can prevents many diseases including diabetes promotes weight loss.
Daily fibre consumption - Foods rich in fiber are fruits, vegetables, beans and nuts. These foods will digest slowly and prevent blood sugar spike.
Eat whole grains - Whole grains will reduce the risk of diabetes and maintain blood sugar levels.

Obesity can cause kidney cancer
Obesity is a condition of accumulating too much fat in the body that is having negative effects on health. Body Mass Index that is 30 or more is considered obese.
Consuming excess calories, sedentary lifestyle and endocrine disruptor are common causes of obesity. Obesity is associated with different types of cancer, kidney cancer is one of the cancer caused by obesity.
Insulin is made by the pancreas that allows breakdown of sugar from carbohydrates for energy, kidneys process insulin in the body.
Excess weight can cause insulin resistance, which can leads to high level of insulin, causing cells to divide rapidly.
Carrying excess weight put stress on kidneys and other vital organs in the body, eating more of fruits, vegetables and being active can reduce your risk of kidney cancer.

Effects of marathons on your kidney
Marathon is a long distance running race with an official distance of 42, 195 kilometers, running marathon can harm your kidney.
Kidney may not be able to filter waste during marathon as s result of reduction in blood flow to the kidney during the race.
Dehydration during the race can cause increase in temperature, the body temperature can rise to 104f during the race, the heat stress can damage the kidney.
Waste product like creatinine in the blood and protein in the urine are the common kidney injury experienced by those involved in marathon.
Marathon related kidney damage may be caused by rise in runners body temperature and dehydration which prevents blood flow to kidney. This last for two days because the kidney will recover after the marathon.

Stem-cell therapy may be effective for erectile dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction is inability to get erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. According to Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases, about 12 percent of men under the age of 60, and 22 percent of men between 60 and 69 have erectile dysfunction.
Common cause of erectile dysfunction are: diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, anxiety, depression and stress.
Stem-cell therapy is the process of injecting the patients' own stem cell into the erectile tissue of his penis, patients' stem cells is always derived from his abdominal fat cells.
Dr Martha Haahr discovered that within 6 months of stem-cell, 8 out of 21 men treated were able to have sexual intercourse.
Current treatments for erectile dysfunction like injections, penile implant and PDE5 have side effects, researchers are looking for safer treatment. Steam-like cell therapy is safer in animal trials and will be safe for men.

Sickle Cell Trait increase rate of Kidney Failure for Blacks
Sickle cell disease occurs when a person inherits two abnormal copies of the haemoglobin gene from each parent.
The most common type is sickle cell anemia, it results in an abnormality in the oxygen-carrying protein haemoglobin found in red blood cells and this leads to a rigid sickle-like shape of cell.
Someone who has one gene from one parent have a trait for sickle cell, sickle cell trait are common among black people
Sickle - cell crisis are acute conditions occurring in patients with sickle-cell disease.
Studies have shown that sickle cell trait is found in eight percent of black people. Black people with sickle cell trait are at the risk of kidney disease.
