Whole body vibration therapy may replace regular exercise
Whole body vibration therapy WBVT is a passive form of exercise when something or machine is being used on a person rather than normal activities like walking and running.
WBVT users stand, sit or lay on a machine that vibrates and this process sends energy to the body by contracting and relaxing the muscle several times during the vibration.
WBVT is as good as exercise, it enhances muscle mass and insulin sensitivity in people that use it regularly. It is a useful therapy to combat metabolic dysfunction in people with morbid obesity.
